
Holy crap, I turn 36 this coming week. Say what? It’s honestly not that big of a deal that I’m going to be that age, but it’s just interesting to think about that number. My husband made some buttermilk waffles with sausage patties from McNeal, Arizona based San Ysidro Farm. I wanted sliced bananas, toasted pecans, green tea, and fresh squeezed pulpy orange juice as well. I’m the one who does the bulk of the cooking in our little family, so I’m always excited when he shows interest in making something. He has fun while he’s cooking, so that’s a great thing.
The waffles were delicious and the sausage was cooked perfectly. Actually this is the first time that we’ve gotten sausage from San Ysidro Farm, but we’ve purchased other things from them which have all been excellent. We’re having a bit of a “cold” snap here in southeastern Arizona, but here’s to a wonderful rest of the weekend and for more cooking adventures for my husband! Heh…
