My life has been an amazing journey these past (almost) 4 years. I feel really lucky to have experienced what I have and I look forward to making more memories back in the States. I’m torn, I’m freaking out, I’m nervous, I’m excited, I’m feeling vulnerable sometimes, but keeping strong… I’m going to miss ordering my food in German… will I forget how to have little conversations? I’ll have to remember not to ask for 500 grams of this or 250 grams of that. I won’t be watching my driving speed in kilometers anymore. If someone is speaking too fast for me, I won’t have to ask: “Sprechen Sie Englisch, bitte? I won’t even start with the organic working farm, omg, sadness. ” etc, etc, etc. Emotional times flow and flow through me on this last full month of calling Wiesbaden… HOME.
