Hello, it’s Friday.

11 Apr

Today I had a very leisurely Friday, not that I’ve really had extremely busy times lately. You know what, though, that will soon change. I don’t feel bad about not cleaning the house and instead working on certain things that make me happier. Ah, a day in the life of not-very-good-at-being-a-wife. Well, at least not in the cleaning and “keeping house” department. Oh and I’m so in love with bread, it’s always in my head.

I think I’m eating a lot of bread from the bakeries around here lately because I’m trying to keep all the beautiful tastes in my memory. There’s all these fears of not finding the types of breads that I have grown to love when we get back to the States. It will be so different, but I hope to find something that I love. Breakfast this morning was brotchen with raw almond butter and the loveliest local-made biodynamic strawberry jam + a coffee (espresso with steamed milk).

Brotchen. Oh my sweet brotchen. A great breakfast especially since my favorites are the organic whole grain-seed-nuts and oat ones. I also discovered a lovely Tuscan style rye-herb bread, to die for. Ohhh… lovely breads. I will miss you so. You’ve made me more of a bread-head than I have ever been.

Have a wonderful weekend, all you who read my silly little blog. It’s rainy and not so warm here yet, but I love it this way. For now. We’ll have enough heat & sun in the summertime. Especially in the East Coast. *omg, we’re leaving soon…*
