I miss being able to drop off my laundry, at a favorite laundromat, and pick it up a couple of days later. Fresh & clean, folded, and done by someone else. That is one thing that I really don’t like doing and I let it pile up, every time, until I practically run out of things to wear. Just last night I had to borrow pajama bottoms and a t-shirt from Mr.E because I used up all my “sleeping clothes”. Thank goodness for mass quantities of very important items, though! ![]()
Well, at least I can say that I do keep it tidy and neat in laundry bags… one for coloreds and one for lights. Even when I manage to (super reluctantly) do laundry… it seems as though it never ends! Our German washer/dryer are so cute and energy efficient. I love them, though it does take forever to wash & dry anything. Makes me detest this chore even more. I think even if I could have the best of the best in those appliances, my dirty laundry would still pile up. Unless they came with a “laundro-bot”… a laundry robot, of course. This is an embarassing confession, but maybe this is a self intervention. Eeek.
Good thing about today is that there’s something wonderful in the air for me. Especially since I feel so freaking good about not working at that portrait studio anymore (I wrote about that here). Oh how I want to just go into the ridiculous details, but I won’t. No, I will not stoop way down to *ehem* that level. I do feel good and happier for so many reasons. This morning’s breakfast was wonderful, though I did end up waking up on the “wrong side of the bed” and Mr.E left with me being a total biiii***!! I texted him to apologize, because he’s my sweet bear. All is well and now… I must go. TGIF! TGIF!!!
Delicious organic carrot cake from here with super, yummy and milky coffee.
of all the domestic duties i dislike, i really have never minded laundry. what i despised was going up and down two flights of stairs several times a day to get it completed. now that, i hated. so a priority in the new house was to have laundry at least on the main level, if not the same as master – i got both! and a new pair of front-loading maytags to boot. all i’m lacking now is a good folding table… but i don’t mind laundry day at all! i think it has always been because it is a simple task which has a beginning, middle and an end — i get a sense of accomplishment. duh. all that to talk about laundry… have a fabulous weekend!
